First up is a quick cartoonish space marine i doodles as laurie demanded his iron warrior, so there it's done :p now bugger off.
secondly we have my initial concept sketches for next semesters project, which started out as an attempt at recreating priest vallon from gangs of new yorks cross, however rik the lecturer said i should do something unique rather than copy something. so it's goanna be an axe now

More Clay Play - Face cast version
Well my original face cast died a horrible death due to being poorly made, last time i ask sam to make something for me ;) so got rik to quickly make me a face cast that didn't crumble away, and decided to play away, now originally my reference image was a gargoyle which i'm planning to try and recreate later on the skull, but for now it was just a test to see how well i could work on the face casts. i enjoyed making it and whilst i don't think it's a fantastic piece of work, i'm damn sure it could be a lot worse. so on with the introductions here we have gary the almost a gargoyle

Playing with clay, part two
time for a little update on my scultping, these are both using a form of skeleton for the clay, one being an armature (spelling?) and the other being a plaster cast of a skull, robed figure was a basic attempt at getting a bodiless figure in a robe, but still keeping the outline of a body (i.e. ghost) etc
the model using the skull started out on a full face cast that was quite poorly made and crumbled as i was trying to apply plaster so i used a mini skull cast my lecturer made for me to work on, started of as a batnose and gargoyle eyes and then i just kept messing around and eventually ended up with my gremlin/goblin hybrid, who is now to be called gordon the groblin

First go at scultping
Well flat is almost empty meaning a quiet night, decided to stay away from fallout for a bit and work on my scultping, no scultping tools so did 90% of the detail by hand and a little with a pair of nail clippers i had around on the desk, ain't perfect but i'm really happy with it as it does resemble the intended product
